The Concept

A social network that is a platform for sharing recipes and food photography. Users can upload their own recipes with pictures, browse and rate other people’s recipes. Users can also show-off their recipes by using the blog widget provided. Lookfood users can also add the Lookfood Facebook application to their page which will allow their friends to see recent recipes they have uploaded.

Inspiration - The Idea

I am an avid cook and I also admit that I am a huge show-off. I wanted to create a place where I can do just that. To learn recipes from other people, improve on my cooking skills and also show off pictures of my sexy creations. Perhaps, also meet new people and make friends along the way. The idea actually just came to me while reading over a recipe book. So in late 2006, I started designing ‘on paper’ what would soon be known as Look Food.
